If the developer may want to hire a professional translation service although in that case you have to pay per word translated.
Commenting on TNW that his goal is to harness the altruistic side of the web where people write in Wikipedia or translate Twitter without charging anything. It is certainly not the same part of the world’s largest encyclopedia to translate an application to others profiting from it although it is true that thousands of people participated in other languages version of Twitter and not charge anything for it.
An interesting project no doubt but surely has to invent a way to encourage collaboration even sending home stickers and gum.
