Google Translate has just added a new phrasebook feature to its machine translation tool.
Phrasebook for Google Translate allows you to save the most useful phrases (or those you use most often) for easy reference later on. This can be an extremely useful time saver if you find yourself needing to translate certain phrases over and over again.
Also, if you’re planning a trip abroad or maybe meeting with an important client from overseas, by utilizing the Phrasebook feature, you can translate the phrases you know you will need ahead of time and keep them saved for easy access later on.
Phrasebook can also serve as an educational tool as well. By revisiting the useful phrases in your Phrasebook from time to time, you can turn any brief translation into lasting knowledge.
It’s easy to use Phrasebook. Simply click the star under the translated text to save the translation in your Phrasebook.
To view your Phrasebook, simply click the Phrasebook icon above the upper-right corner of the box containing the translation.
Click any phrase in your Phrasebook to load it back in the translation area. Using the Phrasebook controls, you can filter your phrases by language pair or search for a specific phrase. You can also easily listen to each phrase by hovering over the entry and selecting the text-to-speech icons.
